Blastac® Blast Curtains and Blankets have undergone extensive testing to a variety of standards, including ASTM, NFPA UL752 Levels 1-3, EN1063 BR1-BR4. Test facilities include the independent Blastac Ballistic Test Facility as well as National Technical Systems (NTS), Kinectrics Indian Head Naval Warfare Center, Home Innovation Research Labs SpaceX and Northeast WJ. Further certification from Lloyds Register conducted by Exxon Mobil are also available along with Fire Thermal Static/Dynamic Finite Element Analysis(FEA) for additional specifications.
PERFORMANCE TESTING
Blastac is the premier provider for superior blast protection due to its extensive testing and use of DefenseCor™ and AmourCore™ technology. It has been tried, tested, and approved with UL752 ratings up to level 3 in bullet resistance as well as EN FB/BR4 standards against fragmentation impacts like 2-GRAIN RCC V50 BL(P), .22-CAL 17-GRAIN FSP V12V50 BL(P) ,and .30 CAL FSP V45BL (P). These claims are verified by rigorous testing that prove no other protective curtain or blanket can match the same quality results while being light weight at an unparalleled strength value.

FEA - Finite Element Analysis
By utilizing finite element analysis (FEA), our engineers can digitally simulate the behavior of parts or assemblies under specific conditions – allowing for more precise optimization and a reduction in physical prototyping. FEA enables us to accurately assess components as part of project design processes via the finite element method.
Finite element analysis (FEA) applies mathematical models to measure and understand the effects of real-world conditions on a part or assembly. With advanced software, engineers can simulate potential design issues such as tension and weak spots, making it an essential tool for predicting problems before they occur.
The complex processes of FEA are described using partial differential equations (PDEs), which must then be solved in order to extract parameters such as stress and strain rates. Fortunately, FEA can be used to provide approximate solutions to these problems.
These simulations are the basis of modern software, with results displayed on computer-generated color scales.
